From Heritage to Hospitality
Between the hills of Gallura and the sea, our story begins in a place inhabited for centuries by shepherd families. Here, the landscape was never just a backdrop, but a home, a workplace, and a way of life. Suites del Borgo was born to breathe new life into this memory. We transformed a historic settlement into a “scattered hotel” (ospitalità diffusa) to preserve the soul of the village. We didn’t just want to offer rooms; we wanted to safeguard an inheritance, creating a bridge between the pastoral past and the modern traveler.

Our Philosophy: The Shepherd’s Soul
Our philosophy is inspired by the ancient art of pastoralism — a lifestyle based on independence, listening to nature, and trust. We reject standardized mass tourism. Instead, we embrace a “pastoral” approach to hospitality:
- Balance: We don’t force the experience; we let it breathe.
- Listening: Like the shepherds who follow the seasons, we respect the natural rhythm of our guests.
- The Goat Symbol: A tribute to vitality and freedom. We encourage our guests to move freely, to feel spontaneous, and to rediscover their most authentic selves.
The Territory: Wild Gallura & Barbagia Roots
Our heart beats in Gallura, where green Mediterranean scrub meets ancient rock. But our soul is also tied to the rugged Barbagia. The territory is reflected in our aesthetic — specifically through the art of Luigi Columbu. Using the local Nepente wine as a pigment, Columbu’s artwork inside our suites tells the story of the Supramonte caprari (goat-herders). The wine becomes color, and the earth’s raw material becomes a poetic sign, making the Sardinian landscape visible even within your room.
Team: Custodians of the Land
We are not just a staff; we are custodians. Guided by a deep love for Sardinia, our team is dedicated to providing an intimate and personal experience. From our hospitality managers to the local artisans who shaped our spaces, we work like a traditional family business: with independence and mutual respect. We are here to ensure that your stay isn’t just a holiday, but a meaningful relationship with our land and our culture.
